Piggy's Journal
As I watched the expedition leave the beach into the thick wall of jungle, I wondered how long it would be before they came back or even if I would ever see some of them again. It seems to me that I’m the only one that takes getting stuck on an island seriously! As I stated into the shallow lagoon my eyes strayed into the dark blue patch of sea just beyond the reef. What if there really was a leviathan out there, waiting for one of us to go crazy and try to swim for land.
Of course not, I’m just being windy, I thought to myself. ‘To bad there aren’t any moors here or we might be able to grow some food.’ I let my senses open up to the world around me, smelling the brine in the air I remembered that there were lil’uns I had to look after so I got up and started looking for them. I found three of them playing king and knights in the sand and some others were playing with planes that they’d made out of twigs.
As the day went on I got increasingly bored till I heard a rustling in the bushes. I looked and it was just Simon. He said that the others were climbing the mountain and that they would be back sometime before sundown. That left me dun that just Simon and I were left with the lil’uns for a couple more hours.
