Quote 1: “The next time I wear it,” said my uncle, “will be at my own funeral.”
-said by Uncle Joseph, page 152
Significance: This quote stood out to me because most people don’t think like that, thinking about what they will where in a coffin and it shows me how much her whole family thinks about. They look not only days into the future but years.
Question 1: Doesn’t he show that he’s sad about his wife?
Quote 2: More, please, I wanted to say. Please tell me more. Both of you, together, tell me more. About you. About me. About all of us. But my father began coughing, so my uncle leaned over and whispered, “Ush, Mira. Just rest.”
Significance: This really shows how much she wants to learn about her past but it also shows how much her father’s health is a hindrance. I really hope that she can find all the letters sent back and forth.

Quote 1: I thought that this quote was very sad because one brother is telling his brother that he is going to die soon. I think that if I heard my brother say this a would be so sad because then that means that they believe and know that they are going to die soon.
Question 1: Yeah it shows that he wants to be with her no matter what and he really miss's her. I also think that because his wife died he is thinking a lot more about death.
Quote 2: When I read this a think that it showed how much she was interested about her father's past. I think that at the end of the story she will finally learn everything that her father needs to tell her.
Question 2: I don't remember a Fedo, but I think that he might have something to go with Edwidge's father and his past.
Question 1: The next time that he will wear it will indeed be his funeral.
Response 1: well Ross sometimes you need to look into the future and to think how people will react.
Question 1: Yes, every one is sad when a family member passes on to the next life.
Quote 2: well she wanted to know more about her life.
Response 2: indeed she wants to know more about her life before she was left with her uncle.
Question 2: I don’t knot know, his friend?
Quote one: I also thought this quote was somewhat unusual because I don't really think about what will be happening with me at my death but instead others...
Question one: Yeah and I think he is trying to make the family feel looser about it...
Quote two: I almost chose this quote, it really shows how open she is to learning about her family and close listening probably helped a lot with writing this book.
Question two: I'm not sure but I think he was mentioned once before.
